How do you install a spray tip?
Installing the tip seal in to the guard can be a little tricky if you didn’t know about the built in tool on the tips them self…
Is there an easy way to get the tip seal into the guard? This is one of the most common questions we get asked.
The answer is yes! Here is a video created by Spray Direct, where Josh will show you the tips and tricks on fitting the tips correctly and with ease.
If you have been struggling to install your tips or seals correctly into the guard then struggle no more. When buying new tips most of them come with a new tip seal, the seal is what seals the gap between the front of the gun and the curved surfs of the tip.
Failure to install the seal will result in paint leaking out all the gaps around the guard.
Each make of tips have their own tool for fitting the seal, in the diagram above is a TriTech tip where the seal will fit on the handle end of the tip where as a Graco tip is on the metal end of the tip.
Top Tip – Its important to match the crescent up so its all in line when fitting the seal.
