How do you know if your hose is damaged?

Have a look at this great video by Airless Discounter which goes through what to look out for when checking your hoses and also why to make sure that your hoses are safe.

Most people don’t realise how much pressure their airless hoses are under when compared with the likes of a car tyre. We have created a FREE online safe operations course which is great to help understand the safety issues around airless hoses, what an injection injury is, how to avoid it and what to do in the event of one. Check out the course here

How often do you check your hoses? After watching this video we hope it has made you think more about checking them but also think about how you use them on site; don’t pull on them if there is resistance, don’t put ladders or tool boxes on them and be careful how you wind them up at the end of the day as the most common damage is where the hose meets the machine where it has been stored or transported.

If you think it needs replacing then just replace it! For the sake of the cost of a new hose its not worth the alternative.. We always have a spare hose in the van or in the store just in case; this can be a 7.5m or 15m as either will get you out of trouble if issues arise.

To buy a new hose just head over the SMS Spray Supplies by clicking the banner below or clicking here.
