The ultimate masking Top Tip

Masking a length of skirting is really easy, get your hand masker out, pull a length of paper and tape, and away you go. But what about a radiator valve or a door handle. What about all those things that are a complicated shape, imagine spraying the boiler cupboard with all those pipes everywhere now would you use masking tape?

Granted you could wrap masking tape around and around it to make sure that it is properly masked trust me we did that for years, but what about when it comes to taking it off it will take ages, especially if it’s standard masking tape and has been on a week.

Take a look at this video below from Ian at PaintTech for his ultimate solution.

The ultimate solution

Tin Foil!. Take a square and lay it over the light and then squeeze it under slightly, job done. It stays put, it protects the light from spray, and it takes a second to take off – genius.

We’ve done this video to show how this one Top Tip can save up to 65% on time and 50%  saving on material cost, it’s the gift that keeps giving.
